Wife and I went to Trader Joe's this morning looking for a specific item type of bread that I was sure they would have. ALL bread was almost completely wiped out as was a lot of there frozen food items. The checker said there were about 30 people waiting for the doors to be unlocked this morning.
My wife jokingly said she'd be there tomorrow morning an hour before they opened to get a good spot. I told her there was no reason to...all she had to do was get there 5 minutes before opening time, worm through to the front doors and then turn around and sneeze. That should clear the crowd.
After Trader Joe's, we went to our local supermarket and the parking lot was fuller than usual. We walked in the store and it was more crowded than the weekend before Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. The paper goods aisle shelves were bare and most of the packaged meats were gone and the butcher cases were bare of just about every cut of beef, chicken and pork. She needed to go to another specialty store so I told her to drive to the other store while I waited in the checkout line that stretched to the far edge of the store and over halfway up the aisle. While I was waiting outside for her to come back, a guy walked up and wanted to take my shopping cart because all of the shopping carts were being used. Unbelievable.
 
OCDART: Stater Brothers and Ralph’s in Cypress have been experiencing the same panic type buying. I have been to Northgate Market twice in the last week and they don’t have toilet paper either but there isn’t the panic crowds. Albertson’s has normal crowd. Probably because their prices are normally high.
 
Dude, that is price gouging. I have some brand new rolls I will sell for only $20 each with free shipping.
 
Trump's national emergency got people back in the stores buying food. Wal Mart employees said they were swamped Friday
 
Same hear also pasta,Bread mix ,Flour,Yeast & bread making machines all sold out
There's a special on Baked beans
 
LOL the state run beer store got hit hard Friday. At least the priorities are right with kids home for weeks!

I remember it well. 1973. The store I worked at put a limit on it, when we could get it. This is about as crazy as that was. Just how much wipe do you really think you need?

It`s in the proper forum, Other stuff for sale. I`ve bought and sold on this site for 12 years, mostly bought. My feelings are hereby officially hurt. I was only trying to help the masses who are out of this wood fibrous gold. Having only 2 full rolls of luxurious, premium paper for myself I thought it would be an extremely kind gesture to share with those without . With no future shipments of this highly sought after commodity in sight I may have to retract my sale offer and utilize said partial roll for myself. Change my mind...
