I tried to find one for a friend and we looked for a year, a couple went through Ebay for over $500.
Good luck, I know they are out there.

What is the difference between the manual and auto TQs in 1971 and 1972? They both had the same jets and rods. Was there a difference in the linkage setups, dash pots, or the vacuum ports?

I hope there are more parts to go with it, because in the pic it's missing a couple of external links, and the "s" link is on backwards.

One carb harder to find than the --73 is the --72. I'll take a look in my carb totes when I go to storage. Good luck.

Gary, I am confused .... I STARTED this thread looking to trade my 4973 carb for a 4972 carb ... Did you hijack this tread?
I didn't mean to...I thought I was responding to your offer to trade and following FABO Gold Member "Steve" s offer to sell his 340 carb. I apologize for any incorrectness in my post.
Take care,
Gary

No, that is all the same. Probably in the bleeds. Manual carbs seem leaner at idle. No torque convertor to pull down?

maybe the difference is just in the acceleration pump, & choke settings, etc. If I get a chance I'll look at a setting spec sheet, tonite.
