Hi Folks

I know I've read it somewhere before, but which forum member(s) supply TTI exhaust components. Looking to get something shipped to Canada.

Thanks FABO

Ive dealt with National Moparts a few times. It might be worth calling them. Sometimes it’s just cheaper to import them yourself. I found that with my TTI exhaust system even with horrendous shipping costs.

pro stock is a tti dealer

If you can bring them over the border yourself it will save you a lot of money. I had my first set delivered to my door in 2003 at a cost of just over $1200.00 cad.
I picked up the last set at the border about 4 years ago and it cost me a little bit less than $1200.00 cad. Factoring in the exchange rate and the significant price increase from 2003, I saved a lot of cash. If my memory is not too far off, the price in 2003 was around $550.00 usd, compared to just shy of $800.00 usd for the latest set. Both were ceramic coated step headers, same part #.
I don't know if that's an option for where you live though. Shipping costs have gone up exponentially too, but where they really screw you is on the customs brokerage fees.

Not sure your exact application, but the Doug's D453's may be an option as well and they have other retailers that may make it easier for you in Canada. The difference in fit between the TTI's and the Doug's is 6 of one, half dozen of another and really it probably depends more on your car than either header.

I actually think the ceramic coating and construction on the Doug's is better than on the TTI's, at least between the set of Doug's I have on my car and the TTI shorties I bought.

Just a thought, not sure if you're looking for just headers or the whole system though.

I am looking for a 2 1/2" H-pipe and tailpipes for my '71 Demon. Listed at TTI as $580 US. Got a quote here in Canada of $1100 cad......And I would still have a 6 hour round trip to pick them up. Hoping for a better option.......Perhaps there is none. :(

I bought a whole 2 1/2" TTI system for my stock manifolds. It was $800ish USD plus shipping which was approx. $300 USD! (plus brokerage, duty and GST). It worked out to around $1800 Cdn. Classic in Calgary was $100 cheaper but then they are a 6 hour drive away return. A local shop said they could build a system for around $1800. I don't think there is a cheaper option. TTI was good to deal with.

Troy another TTI supplier real close to me is "For Hemis Only". Tim Banning, highly regarded hemi builder. I'll try to contact him.

That whole brokerage mystery to get stuff across the border really jacks up the price. HemiDenny had a decent price, but couldn't comment on UPS brokerage rates. If your guy has a discount brokerage company to get things across the border that would definitely be a savings. When I was in Southern Ontario, getting things shipped to Buffalo worked well.

I called TTI, and asked them about paying all the fees up front(like Summit does). They cant/won't, and TTI ships UPS unfortunately.
I'm still trying FHO

What I have done is use a place like Kinek, a warehouser on the US side of the border that'll hold a package/s for a month for $5?ea.
( Older price check link)
Canadians can bring back $800 each duty free if outta country 48 hrs plus.
My wife and I take a moho down to a Casino for a long weekend, wine/dine/shop for a coupla days, bring back $1600 wortha goodies from warehouse on US side.
I've brought back everything including headers, - pay Can. sales tax, 69 headers. No Duty on "Classic Car Parts".
Just clear Customs, no broker required, receipts etc are .
Now we have a bonded shipper flies US goodies into our airport that has customs there, - same deal, - get form from shipper, walk to customs, pay bill, get dox, walk back, pay $15 each pkg .

I've done exactly the same thing as both of these examples.

Brokerage isn't that much although they don't do you any favors on duty charges. If its US mfg it should be duty free. What could be a saving is cheaper freight charges to a US destination vs a Cdn destination. Believe it or not lots of people like me don't live close to the border. :)
