Yep, the engine serial number.

To match it up to the 1971 car it came from, you need to post the partial VIN as mentioned above.

I see by the vin it was assembled at Hamtrack so I also posted the info on B-Bodies only site. It would be cool to find the original owner but I know that's high hopes

It is....but it's happened before.
 
In '71 Hamtramck was making A-bodies & E-bodies - no B-bodies.
 
How much would you want for it. Built same day or week as my plum crazy 71 340 demon
