Guys, I am not exaggerating this but my brother called me again
yesterday, and he found a 1969 GTX in an elderly lady's pole barn.
Her son flipped the car in 1970, only a year old, and it has been sitting
in the barn for the last 35 years!!! I don't know what engine combo is in
it, I'll try to find out soon. My brother did'nt get a good look at whole car
but he said it did'nt look too bad. God, I can't wait to get out there,
my brother is finding cars left and right. We have 18 cars between us
both only 2 don't run.
He picked up a 1972 Mercury Marquis yesterday for a 1000 bucks,
429 4bbl., and get this its only got 14,000 miles on it.

Good find!!! I need you and your brother to buy me some lottery tickets....

69 will most likely have the 440. If it's a HEMI, we will all have to kill you, and steal it. Nice job, and good luck.

I'm leaving Wednesday night, from so. Calif. to head to Minnesota,
with 1 more car in tow. I should be up there Saturday hopefully. If I get
chance, I'll see if I can get a look at it. I'm only staying for a few days,
and then I have to go back to Calif. I won't be back out there for
about another month permanently, and then open up the gas station!!!!!
Pretty soon.....

gtx's only came with 440's or hemis

my dad has 2 69 gtx's one conv 440 4 speed, other is a hard top, parts car

mines for now is a 67 gtx

Delayed my journey up north to Minnesota, for 2 more weeks.
I not going to drive my truck and trailer through blizzards with my
442 on the back. Orangedust is already there in a heated building.
I'll keep you all posted when I check it out, I'm only going up there
for a few days to drop off 1 more car and some of my stuff.
I'll try to get a look at it, but I might not have enough time.
Then, I'm coming back to Calif. to finish up the year and probably
the first or second week of January, I'm driving back up with the T/A.
on the back, and the rest of my livelihood.

Love those '69 B bodies.

Five Years Ago I Found A 70 Gtx 440 Six Pack With Air Grabber Hood Scoop Andbucket Seats Tick Tock Tack. It Was Hemi Ornge With Black Winel Top.
I Paid 8,000 For It It Had Ben Restored Frome Ground Up. I Worked With The Guy That Did All The Work. Got Devorced 2 Years Ago And She Got The Gtx And The 70 Road Runner With The 396 Hemi And Four Speed. And The 60,000.
In Debet. I Got The 69 Cuda And The Car Hauler.
She Is Now The Prez Of Mopar Magic In Shreveport La. You Can See Both Cars On The Web Site.

I drove up to Minnesota 2 weeks ago, to bring up some of my
worldly possesions. I drove 2300 miles in 46 hours. 1400 the first
24 hrs, pulled over before I crashed, and drove 900 the next.

Back to the GTX, I did speak with the guys mother who
works at the neighborhood BP, she said its been in a storage
shed since about 71. He was working up in Canada, and will
be back in February. So we have to wait some more fellows!!!
The elderly lady did tell me that it is pretty bent up, but I
want to see it for myself.

I did speak with the older mechanic fellow who has about a
dozen 68--69 date coded Hemi blocks and rotating assemblies,
in his barn. He was Dodge mechanic for 30 some odd years, he
was an interesting fellow. He said I can scavenge through his
engine components, to build 1 long block, if I tune up his aging
pick-up. Can't beat that deal!!!!

I will be leaving next month, to head back to Minnesota, and
open my gas station, the lift is going to installed next week,
with a new compressor, and tire machine.
There are no stations in the town I am going to be in, except me.
I picked up my building signs, cleaned out the bays,
repaired the rest rooms, and numerous odds and ends.

My station is in Kennedy, Minnesota. Kittson County.
North and to the west. I will live in Hallock, Minnesota about 9
miles away. "Gateway Super Service " is my shop.

My other brother is moving up from Chicago next month, to
help me run the convenient store that I will have in the front!!!

That will give me more time to do shop stuff ...

Can't wait to open!!!!!

You can succeed in this venture is you are doing what you like and work 16 hours a day. You will enjoy your time at the garage and will not be viewed as a job but a pleasure to you. good luck. :thumblef:
