Found the Cherry Bomb Dodge Truck

I just showed up in the classifieds today for $400. 64 Dodge step side look familiar? If the guy takes Paypal I will buy it unseen and load it on the trailer on Saturday. It has a face that only a mother could love. What do you think?

Is it a runner? I have a NOS grill for one of those. The Cherrybomb guys talked to my dad at SEMA and said they wanted to buy it but they never called.
 
JR I don't know if it runs yet and don't really care. I just called and got the machine, but it has only been listed for a few hours. The classifieds just states needs work, but comes with 4 craigers that are in the picture. I think it would be cool to cruise around in.
 
ya think thats the same truck ?? Or are you just saying its similar to the Cherry Bomb ? I see lots of differences...but hey...its cool none the less.... If it is... thats real cool... Awesome score.

Awesome find, let me know if you need any help. I love those wheels. I used to have a set and regret letting them go. I also know where some cool parts are that would make that even more bad ***. Anyway, talk to you later.

Thanks Jeremy, I will try him again in the morning. I called kind of late. If I get it then I might need your trailer on Saturday. 8)
 
ah ok....kinda thought that but wanted to make sure.... still cool... but then again I am partial to the early D100's .. :)

They are growing on me. I talked to the guy and I am picking it up in the morning. It has a running 318 and 4 speed, but the clutch slips. I am assuming that it is a wide block. I can't wait.
 
I think these trucks are the next hottest thing out there. They stand alone when compared to the chevies & fords of the same vintage.
A freind of mine had a 1967 a few years back. One night, some theives pushed his 1969 Mach 1 stang out of the drive to get access to the truck & stole it. It was located two years later, 20 miles away. All that was left was just the frame.
 
I know where one of these trucks is.It's all there and been sitting awhile.Even has a cap on the bed.

Im thinking I should grab it and sell the chevie pu to finance it.I have a good truck 360 for it..
 
Sorry for jumping up on your thread Badart. I had to mention it once I saw that truck you found.

As for a face only a mother could love,I guess that makes me a mommy?

Have always loved those trucks.

The chevie needs some work to be sellable.Hopefully I'll get to it this spring.
 
Well I'm pretty excited. Good News! The truck is a short bed and he says that it is really solid. I think I found a winner. Hopefully I can throw in a clutch and have a driver. I will post pics tommorrow and start cleaning it up.
 
Hey John, Can't wait to see it. If you need help cleaning or something, let me know. I have to work till around two or so. Sorry I couldn't help out with the trailer this time. Also, thanks for the ride in the Dart today. The car is awesome and runs great. Makes me want another car ASAP

No big deal on the trailer. I will swing by around 1 pm if everything goes smooth.
 
I hate liars. This guy told me over the phone that the truck was solid and was a short bed. So I drove the 2 hours down there pulling a trailer and when I get there the first thing I notice is that it is a long bed. The truck had rust almost everywhere. Floor pans were gone with sheet metal screwed in over it. Both quarters had about a 1/2" of bondo in them and the cowl was badly rusted and to top it off someone decided to cut on the inner fenders and the fire wall with a torch. WTF? Why can't people just be honest about stuff so I don't waste my time. So I came home with an empty trailer.
 
im actually sitting at work, and was just wondering if got it and was waiting on some pics. then i get on here and see that. stupid people suck.
