I have front and rear re-chromed bumpers coming back to me at the first of the year, I will not be putting these on the car right away until I get my paint fixed on the car. So I plan on wrapping these pumpers up and storing them in the rafters of the garage. Question is should I coat them in anything and what should I wrap them in?

Also I will have polished wheel well trim coming back that I will store for the time being as well.

Cover them with car wax, don't buff it off and wrap it in paper not plastic. Wrapping it in plastic will case condensation and in a few months you will have a mess.

Wrap them in paper. They are not going to rust sitting in your garage unless it is a really poor chrome job.I would not worry about coating them unless they will be sitting for a number of years.

X2...I prefer a good quality carnauba paste wax rather than a liquid. Put on a couple of coats and don't buff it off.
I've kept bumpers in the rafters of my garage like this for several years.
When ready to use, take them down and buff off the wax.
