For a second generation Barracuda, (1968) what is the distance from the top of the core support to the top of the radiator cap?

I installed a Champion Radiator, and it looks like it is setting too low, the radiator cap is about flush with the top of the core support.

I want to raise the radiator slightly, but I also have the hood off the car and I don't want to run into an interference issue,, I am waiting to pick up a new Fiberglass hood at the Indy Cylinder head swap meet and that is weeks down the road.

Stock radiator in my 69 383-s. I sold the car, but you can see the radiator cap sits higher than the core support. Rod

1-7/8".
I couldn't hold a tape and a straight edge and take a picture at the same time.

'67 Barracuda which should have almost the same body dimensions, give or take production tolerances...

Test Fit #1. ZERO Clearance to hood.

As checked by gently closing hood on crumpled aluminum foil.

Test Fit #2, Good fit - same '68-'69 radiator with '70 bottom tank and slightly shorter core.
5/8 to 3/4" hood clearance.

#3 Hood clearance with square top (70 up) radiator (with radiator shifted forward to provide more fan clearance).
