front pump gears the same in 67 727 vs 74 and up?

Hello,

Tearing into my 727 and the front pump gears have some rust. I have another pump, but it has the plastic bevel like the 74 and up style. Are the gears interchangeable?

Yes the gears are the same. The pump as an assy. isn't though because in 71 they went to a wider front drum bushing. To be honest though I'd replace the gears with new ones rather than 39 yr old gears. Their only about $22 a set from www.bulkpart.com
