Front shocks replacement

Just a quick question,will the original shock rubber grommets with the metal sleeve insert have to be removed when replacing the shock?It looks like the insert will have to be knocked out and the grommet pulled from the top,or that's the way it looks to me.The new shocks came with two individual rubber grommets and the original looks to be a single piece.Thanks guys
 
The original style are one piece and go through both sides of the hole. Remove the sleeve and cut them up with a utility knife and install the two piece ones... Make sure to only tighten them until the rubber is as big as the washers, not any more...

Ok,If I'm looking at this right one bushing will be on the underside and one will be on the topside,tighten down until bushings are about the same size as washers maybe a little smaller?
