Front tire size > 72 Scamp

I searched about 100 pages in tire /w wheel section...but..

I have a 72 scamp with stock 14 inch rallyes has disc brakes if that matters.- want to go to 60 series tire on front to match 245x60x14 on rear

Looking at tire specs- I think a 215x60 would be safe but would like to go with 225x60 ( weird that is also $30 less in T/As)

Anyone have experience with this combo for front> thanks

I'm running 235/60/14 front and rear (T/A's) on my '75 Scamp with no clearance issues anywhere. You for sure will be able to run 215/60 on the front without issues.

I run a 225/70/14 on the front of my Dart Sport. They only rub when my 415 lbs buddy is in the car.

Where does it hit? When you turn tight or on fender? I hope the 60 series is shorter and will do OK

It only rubs on tight turns. But it's very slight. My next set will be a 215/60/14.

Back of the tire on rear of fender well or front of tire on wheel well- or just top of tire on lip of fender?
