A friend just replaced a bent upper control arm and I know I need an alignment since the car veers to the right. What else might have to be done to fix positive? camber. 70 dart (winter beater) driven 3 miles a day.

Start with the front cam bolt adjusted away from the frame and the rear cam bolt adjusted all of the way toward the frame, that should get the camber/caster close enough to drive to the alignment shop. Even a little out of alignment will make it a handful to drive.
