fuel line ?

here's my choice i've purchased a new gas tank, 3/8 fuel line to carb and 3/8 sending unit for a 408 stroker. came across a good deal on a stock 340. i know the 340 has a 5/16 fuel line. since i got the new 3/8 parts would you install it anyway? thanks for the advice. bruce

No. Order a new fuel pump with 3/8 lines.

what brand of fuel pump would you go with and model number. i was reading about a carter not sure i'm getting it right maybe street avenger?? and the edelbrock, there was another one can't recall getting old gotta start writing things down.

Stock 340 hook the 3/8 lines up the the stock pump you will be just fine.

If you decide to go with the 3/8 lines on the carter pump you will have to run a regulator to dial the fuel pressure down, mine made 10 psi.

A 340 doesn't need 3/8".
