[WANTED] Fuel Sending Unit FLOAT ... Need ASAP!!!

Found ANOTHER interesting "fix" from a previous owner!!! Screw in sending unit float and some sort of J-B Weld material over it ... WT??????

Car show this weekend and I don't want to put the sending unit back in to just take it back out AND I don't want to spend $$ on buying a whole new unit just for the float.
