Bought a new fuel tank from Jegs, came from classic industries, OER. Fits ok, but hole for fill tube is to far forward. Anyone run into this before ? What tank did you use ? Had a mishap and damaged tank that was in the car. It was made in Canada and fit great. OER is from Taiwan

I bought mine from Tanks Inc. I believe it was made by Spectra.

I bought mine from a subsidiary of I believe is JC Whitney for my 65 Dart. It fit perfectly including where the fill tube goes

I have to call Jegs tomorrow. I tried everything today but no matter how I move the tank around the fill tube is jammed against the front side of the trunk floor rectangular cutout. The tank filler tube hole measures 3/8 inch to far forward on the tank.

Classic Industries is a garbage company selling garbage parts at LOLROFL prices.

"OER" doesn't actually mean anything. It is a fraudulent bit of branding/marketing; it's supposed to stand for "original equipment replacement".

The recommendation for a Spectra tank is a good one. RockAuto sells them.

I bought a Dorman 576-022 tank (for '64-'66 Darts) for my '64 Dart and it fit perfectly.

Thanks guys. I didn’t have time to call Jegs and wait for another tank so,
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I actually ended up moving it even further over to get it all to fit. The new piece is from the tank I accidentally crushed and had to replace. Mig welded it in and covered the welds with Permatex
Fuel tank repair.

The OER tank was definitely different/wrong.
It was noticeably a little larger- deeper than the one that came out.
