So you might have heard a while back what spawned as a college mathematical theory about everybody in the world being connected to each other by six or less people became a cult phenomenon game called the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.

In the service, when together and bored we would try to tie actors to Kevin Bacon from movies he has acted in with other actors.

So an example that I used as a challenge to others would be W.C. Fields:

Google: wc fields bacon number

1. W. C. Fields's Bacon number is 2
   W. C. Fields and Walter Matthau appeared in W.C. Fields: The Great Man.
   Walter Matthau and Kevin Bacon appeared in JFK.
