was talking with two of my Church brothers last nite, the three of us have been trying to fix the sliding door on the van of one of em
somehow it came up that the other guy could use a welder for some work on his fiancees car, so i told i have a welder
long story short, we walk out to see what needs to welded and he wanted to basically recreate the rear strut tower on a 20 year old ford, but there was nothing to weld it to...the entire strut (still attached to the rear wheel of course) was just flopping around in the trunk of the car

Yeah, you remember those metal strips you can buy at AutoZone or wherever that are marketed for "fixing exhaust" ?
That's what he had used to "fix" this strut
I'm gonna have to have a conversation with him about what is acceptable for a man to allow his wife or fiance to drive, because it's simply a safety issue
But, at the same time, he tried to fix it, so I don't want to be to harsh on him
They hired you to give them the truth so they can address a critical issue, and deal with it appropriately. They need that information to get on with their life.
You are not responsible for someone else's poor life decisions.
Telling that person is a lie is no different than telling the fat diabetic dude that there is nothing wrong with his diet, or the fat chick that she's beautiful just as she is.
