Has there been any update on switching to a blade type of fuse block
my search here was last updated in 2008.

It does not seem like it would be a big deal...

has anyone done the switch

I will be using a modified J body underdash harness in my 65 wagon.

Is the purpose just to get the blade fuses?

If your fuse box is melted or such, there are many Mopar ones that fit. The one in my 64 Valiant was from a late 80's Dodge motor-home (recall), or might have been from the 65 Fury dash harness I also used. Looks the same other than a few fuse locations have different names and it mounts w/ bolt w/ nut rather than the "screw into plastic", but that is more secure anyway. Later motor-homes are a good source for electrical connectors in general since they kept the same parts longer.
