I've determined that the fusible link is bad. The battery is good up to the connector part of the fusible link but not at the bulkhead. Is the wire from the connector to the bulkhead the actual fuse? What is the best way to replace it?

Should I get a fusible link from someone like Napa? Also is there a special way to remove the fuseable link wire from the bulkhead connector?

Thanks in advance. I'd like to get it running tomorrow.

I couldn't find a replacement so I replaced it with a 10 ga wire. I drilled thru the connector (plug) on the firewall and ran the wire thru to the underside of the dash. Then installed a 50 amp slo-blow fuse between that and the end that runs to the amp gauge. No problem so far but just in case I carry an extra one in the glove box.
