Hi guys

There was a thread open a few months ago where a member was asking if anybody had installed a retrosound radio in a Dart. Well, I finally installed mine and thought there could be some interest here.

Retrosound Model One
Retrosound speaker 6x9 dual voice cone mounted under the dash.

I ran a new wire assembly to the battery so the power is always on, didn't want to risk running 15A through the ignition switch. Also installed fuses at the battery as well, even though the radio comes with a fuse in its wiring.

The speaker is very shallow and gives lots of clearance under the dash. And the bracket system for the knobs works very well, I was able to match my dash openings perfectly.

Check out some images attached.

Cheers!

looks good, nice that it has the aux/usb. does the radio have any outputs for amps? or more speakers?how does it sound?

Yep it has output for 4 speakers and extra connections for amps, power antenna.

The unit sounds nice, much better than the old 40-yr old AM radio anyway...

May not be the highest spec out there, but the looks of it are great.

Nice install, looks like it belongs. I have the same radio waiting for me to finish other projects. This promo video answers some of your questions: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkwqpjTky0M"]Retro Sound Model 1 Radio - YouTube[/ame]
