ok guys need suggestions
i have a 68 barracuda that i just put a 8 3/4 with a back brace on it.looks great BUT after i installed it and lowered the car off the jack i see that the gas tank hits the brace. its about 8 inches wide and maybe 3 inches deep.the tank actually sits on the brace..i perfer not to go with a fuel cell yet as this is a new tank.and it did have gas in.i have ss springs on it so it is raised a fair amount.
can i round out the tank with a body hammer for clearance ?
can a used tank be cut and rewelded?
help
thanks
terry

I,ve herd of tanks being cut and welded but if all you need is couple of inches I would use a soft headed hammer of some tipe and beat it into submision.

thanks, thats seems to be the only option i have come up with.
a small brass hammer will be the tool of choice

when I moved my springs in 3" I had hammer in the passenger side of the tank about 1.5" no problems
as long as it's not rusted it should move easily, besides your only alternitive is to cut and weld or fuel cell
