Silicon lubricant, guys; not silicon sealer..
I use the RoadRanger transmission O-ring LUBRICANT from Fuller; the most awesome LUBRICANT you will ever find for rubber parts.
Plus you can use to lube the belt on your treadmill.

I have used "Vasiline" petroleum jelly also, worked for me.

I had a mouse that would come out from under the tool closet door and then run back under when I tried to smack him, so I got all smart and silicone sprayed the linoleum where he was coming out.
He came out but did a major burnout on the siliconed floor and I got him.
Problem came because I didn't think to wash the floor and the poor Wife walked through there in her socks.
