Gasket Thickness

My Felpro 1008 is supposed to be .038 compressed by it
is always 042 to 045 when i measure it when removed.

Is there a composition gasket that is 030 to 032 compressed or
close?

It's supposed to be .038 compressed. When you loosen the head bolts to measure it, it isn't compressed any more and measures .042.

When we are torn down by NHRA, they
measure it as removed.

My spec on 71 340 is 028 but I would like to
leave a few thousands to five thousands because
they sometimes miss by a bit in the field.

I hope to find something that would be 030 to 034 when they check it.

I would order Cometics but the tell me the wait may be a month on a
special order. The new Aluminum head engine is going into the Demon
next week. I was beaten "Heads Up" when down to the last four at
World Finals and I do not wish that to happen again.
