Gauges not working

ok,before I tear apart my dash on my 72 Duster,what would cause this?My alternator and speedo work,but the fuel gauge,temp gauge do not work.Im not even getting a brake light on when I ingage the emergency break and usually the oil lamp would turn on with the key on and turn off once the engine starts.Weird that it was just working last week:banghead:

Speedo is mechanical and amp gauge is on it's own "circuit". Have you checked the instrument fuse? If it's good then you need to pull the cluster (leaving the main plug attached) and start troubleshooting with a test light or multi-meter to see where you do or don't have voltage.

thanks,found the problem.Wires are corroded in back,lol.
