Gerashift indicator does not line up to letters properly

I had to replace the stop light switch in my 72 Dart, so I dropped the steering column to get at the bolt for the mounting bracket. When I put the column back up the car wouldn't start/ starter doesn't engage when turning the key. I noticed the gearshift indicator is now to the left of each letter instead of being centered on them. If I play with the shifter I can get the car to start in neutral but not in park. I know this has to be a simple fix, but I'm not sure what to do. Any help here would be appreciated.

Yeh. You probably got the column in just SLIGHTLY different position. There's a sliding clamp adjuster down by the transmission
