New dragstrip being built in Hernando County!!!
In the dead of winter? They musta bought snow blowers for the track sweeper!I saw a lead where it's already open.
Are they BAD BOYS ?Nice!! that's the home of the Warlocks motorcycle gang
All correct Charrlie and hence why those in our Mopar club have not signed up. Let's see what happens at their first few events before we can make a fair assessment.I have seen that website for quite awhile. They keep asking people to join as a member, but nothing seems to advance as far as the racing, and you cannot find out about anything unless you sign up for membership. To sign up You need to send them a copy of your driver license. I have yet to get anyone on the phone, and no responds to my voice mail request.
I'm thinking that was a requirement from local authorities for getting a permit.Mufflers MANDATORY...rut roh.
The community is already on their back, not a good sign.
Overwhelming majority of drag cars do not use muffs and are not going to.
This is the first sign that a track will not make it, mufflers mandatory.

Nonetheless, I wish them the best of luck. They have a great attitude and able to go the extra mile, for now, at least.
Upper comment about the Import cars is spot on. They'll soon infiltrate the place and turn it into Orlando SpeedWorld II.
I get it but only an 1/8 2 lanes lol. That track would have been about a 2 hour job for the contractor I worked for in my youth Yeah, they knew how to do concrete paving.
I think I may have worked with some of those Security Paving guys long ago. I heard they were Kasler refugees.I get it but only an 1/8 2 lanes lol.
Seriously I did grades/layout for lane replacement from Cottonwood to Weedpatch Highway on Highway 58 westbound back in '18 for Security Paving. The survey outfit I was working for was a little miffed when I quit to go on the HSR briefly but . . . that's another story.
Retired in '23 from # 12 and enjoyed the 13th check this year !
That 13th check should be just right for some custom wheels from WheelsmithI get it but only an 1/8 2 lanes lol.

Italiano ? Superintendent Anthony who was a nephew on Hueneme Rd. out of Port Hueneme turn lane widening 20 years ago was a sharp/stand-up guy and a pleasure to work with.I think I may have worked with some of those Security Paving guys long ago. I heard they were Kasler refugees.
I heard that part of Kasler's concrete paving gang went to Security. I was getting bored at the rock farm and Security had numerous projects going on in SoCal. Had a thought that I might have an in with them to go back to that high pressure concrete paving game Logic kicked in and I stayed where I wasFo
