(Got it done! Thanks anyway) Parking Brake Firewall Groumet problem.

Hey folks, continuing to work on the parking brake setup on my 72 Duster. For the life of me I cannot get the damn groumet that seals the cable sheath where it enters the firewall to the lever mechanism. Tried greasing it up, pushing with screwdriver etc.

What's the trick? I swear sometimes I hate this car. Seems like the simplest stuff turns into a frigging all day battle.

Got it done! Seems I just wasn't using the correct sequence and string of curses and F-Bombs. Good to go now.

In addition to the correct sequence of cursing, (m-f'ing piece of sh$t, sob, g damitt...etc etc ) I used really skinny, long nosed needle nose pliers to pinch the grommet while pushing it into the hole in the firewall. Much to my surprise,and relief, it popped right in.

You clearly need to step up the cursing. Either it wasn't loud enough in the beginning or it wasn't mean sounding enough.
