Got me a 1978 Dodge Street Van to pimp out!

-
I had a spare flip gas cap from a barracuda so I decided to install that right away. It looks right at home on this old van. Just had to fab up a 3/8" spacer and an extension for the seal on the flap to keep the elements out. Used the same screw holes, even!
I also received the couple of patch panels today that I ordered on Monday and have a line on a fresh 360 for it, if I want to do that...

any updates?
Oh yea, been doing quite a few things in my limited spare time, just been really busy!
I went through the front suspension with new coil springs & some of the steering gear, Lots of de-greasing, etc.

I got the driver's side patch panels done (mostly). Made a hood scoop and put carbon fiber overlays on that and the hood. Just acquired an Edelbrock performer intake and and 600cfm Eddy carb for it as well. Driving it quite a bit and enjoying it!
Here's a few photos, thanks for asking, gotta run!!! LOL

I have an NOS set of rear window louvers, new lund visor and a custom made overhead console if your looking. I used to have a 77 Street Van

Nice score! Street Vans are pretty rare, and are bona fide collector's items. I grew up in a 72 Econoline 100 window van which my dad built into a camper for our family and it was my mom's daily - no power anything. I was 2 and a half years old when we picked it up at the dealer's in Birmingham and I remember every detail! Five years ago I went searching for a nice replacement, but this time with all the bling of a Chateau Club Wagon, full aluminum grill and chrome everywhere. 3 on the tree for me! Power everything and dual A/C, all original paint in two-tone metallic bronze and wimbledon white. It's an E200 though, which is better - an 8-seater. Gotta love these old vans!

It's been a while since I updated this, just been really busy busting *** on this van as well as my Barracuda.
But I got the bodywork done and a fresh paint job on it! Pretty excited for Mopars in the Park and other crusie-ins this Summer!

Beautiful work, MobileCustoms. I really like your van. Here's a picture of my '77 B200 Sportsman Royal SE window van camper conversion that I've owned since new and is still

Gonna have some fun with a full vinyl wrap on it now (minus the roof). mocking up designs.... Hopefully, it'll be ready for Mopars In The Park on June 2nd-4th. I won't lose this one in a parking lot!

Since were all living vicariously through you and your van I vote to either drop it on air ride suspension, or pro touring it. would be awesome either way

What did you make the spacer and seal out of? I would like to get one for my van.

for the spacer, I used a piece of 3/8" pvc stock i had laying around. I used a piece of thick rubber i also had laying around for the thicker seal.
I would think you could use an old mud flap from a semi truck, perhaps???

I know i posted this up in some other thread but I'll update my official thread here. I got the new vinyl wrap printed and installed a couple of weeks ago, just in time for Mopars In The Park. It was a big hit! Working more on interior stuff now and also just picked up a 360 to swap into it from one of our members here.
Cheers!

Thanks, I also painted the whole thing 1 week prior to wrapping it! It has a real nice basecoat/clearcoat black on it....

Looking great! Where did you order the flare/spoiler kit from???
Hey I got it from this company a little pricey but the quality is not bad. I think its going to add that look to it if you know what I mean. Yours looks BITCHEN that wrap is awesome definetly cheaper than a full out custom paint job:thumbsup:
