Started the local community education class in august. Replaced a quarter, patched few rust spots, blocked, blocked and blocked. Had a professional painter in the booth to not let me screw it up too bad. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with my first attempt at body and paint.

I like it, you did good as far as I can see. I'd be happy with it too.

What color is that?

Was on a tight budget and took a risk with UreKem Sunset orange pearl with SPI universal clear

Home, unmasked and ready for reassembly.

Looks great- nice job! Whats your plan for the hood?

That is looking nice!
I also took ACR classes at a local tech school. Had a blast, restored an old Pontiac I had owned since I bought it as a kid 40 odd years ago and learned a bunch!

Really like that color. Want to spray mine with an orange, but not exactly sure what shade yet. That orange really pops with the black vinyl top.

Very nice! I need to know where to ship my Cuda? I am finding out I spin a mean wrench, but I am not a body guy! LOL! I may have to check on classes.

I was the same, mechanical is not too bad for me but I have never done body/paint work.
I would say I'm more of a framer than I am a finish carpenter. The cutting and welding went fine, scary to cut off my first quarter panel but went back together just fine. Finish work sucked, way harder than I thought and you really have to be patient, which is not in my nature. It came out pretty dang straight for the most part, one little wave on the quarter that I didn't replace...
Thanks to all for the nice comments, I will put up some more pictures when I get the hood finished and back on.

Almost got it back together.
