gremlin's in my spark!!!

here's my problem.
i go out one day the duster start's great purr's like it should.
the next day try, no spark just turn's over the battery ran low
hooked cables up let it charge checked connection's all seemed ok
tried again away it went it started ok for the last 6 times went out
today & no spark !!!!
it,s got electronic dist. msd 7al & mallory ignition coil we soldered all connections checked all ground's to & from coil it ran great till lately, would it be something in dist. ? could use your help new at this
 
try a new rotor cap? or turn the distribitor a little or maybe its the coil ??

Find someone you like but can do without as a friend. Have them hold the wire and crank it over. If it knocks them on their a$$ then you know that you have a cood coil. If they still want to be your friend then the coil is bad....

LOL i think they sell test lights mad for that check with summit
 
Connect a spark plug to your coil wire and make sure it is grounded. Have the engine cranked over. If you have spark it could be your rotor. If not check for power to the coil . Then check if the negative side is being switched by putting a test light accross the two small terminals. If the light comes on you do have a ground but it is the shutting off of the ground that gives you the spark.
 
thank's for the response wonder could it be voltage regulator going back into memorie bank we always carried a spare in the glove box
