Grille color for 1969 Dart

Hello fellas,

As you May have seen from other threads, I'm in the process of restoring my Brazilian 1970 Dart (same as the American 1969).

My question is in regards to the color of the grille, and also the color of the trunk lid panel.

While the old paint looks like matte black, I'm pretty sure the grille would not have been matte.

However, satin black doesn't seem to give it enough shine, and gloss black feels like it would be too shiny.

So, the question is, does anybody know for sure what the color of the grille/trunk lid panel was originally?

Is there a black the sits between satin and gloss?

I'm sending some pics of my car as what it looks like today.

the grille should be the brushed aluminum/stainless steel color the decklid as well looks like someone rattle canned them, a rag with some paint thinner will take car of all that

Hmmm, so it is satin black. I'll repaint one of the headlight bezels and check that it looks alright.
