Yeah he had some big argument w/ chrysler , "over what I dont know" , but think it was because they wouldnt furnish/give him a dynomometer free. Chevrolet did , and thats how come he switched, he even ended up hating chrysler , so must have been some heated exchanges.
He is the one that complained to nhra cause he coulden`t outrun Sox-Martin, so they put 600# on the 426 hemi`s too kill them in prostock. Wally parks admitted it , and apologized to Sox yrs later !!------Matter of fact !!
NHRA, anti-Chrysler! It’s been proven over the years. Over and over again.

Yeah, they killed the pro stock ranks and it's now Pro Stock Chevy. Another reason I rarely watch NHRA anymore.

I can understand him switching to mopar , those fords were slugs , 427 fairlane much better , 426 max wedge even better !

I love the Scout. There's a black one in my neighbourhood, mint condition. Has the no-door option ad a canopy canvas roof, raised suspension. Looks badass.
