intake gaskets
Lookin' for your keys????
You do know you can replace a lifter/s, without taking the manifold off..
You can fish it/them outta the opening in the head,, sometimes you have to back out one of the intake bolts, if it protrudes thru the head..
Saves messing around with all the coolant/oil thing,, depending on what you need to do..
hope it helps
I change a lifter in less than 15 mins. no fuss, no mess., no intake gasket..
Just thought you'd like to know in case there's a next time,, and, if time is an issue..
hope it helps
that sounds awesome. do you have more info and maybe even pics ??. a tutorial on this would be pretty cool

Inertia's right on, it couldn't be easier or quicker, a strong magnet and they pop out and back in and your done in 20 mins.
I've got that tool and a coupla others,, they often don't fit down the pushrod hole.. One you can take the bottom off and drop down into the valley and try to reassemble it thru the pushrod hole..They actually make lifter puller tools. KD tools and Lisle used to make one. A long thin tool, you stick it down inside the recess in the lifter. You turn it, and the stem expands the end inside the lifter
