Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

Wishing you a speedy recovery John. Shoulder surgery is no fun.
Day one post surgery sucks! The thought of shooting a rifle makes me want to pee down my leg! This is a no fun event. But I am getting a bunch of reading done! Of course I can’t remember anything I am reading being gorked out on meds! Here in a day or two I should turn the corner.

Hang tough there buddy.... that's a bunch of trauma there.

OK fellas, I'm trying to clean this thread up. NO POLITICS. I got 5 reports about this thread. What a pain in the azz to close them all. Next time I get called in, I'll just start handing out vacations.

I got a notification one of my posts was deleted on the account of it being political ( may very well have been, im not really known for being tactical) but i wish you guys would send me a copy of the offending post so i knew which one crossed the line

Thought it was time to warm this barrel up yesterday, pulled off 5 rounds, and double checked elevation at 70 yards propt as I sent down a clip of 8, still the tack driver it was last fall , Talked Treva into shooting it again, explained to her if she want confidence and know this rifle it's a must, handed her the Henry, she pulled the bolt and aimed, I said did that sound right ? Then I handed he a clip  only way to keep her sharp.

I have heard nothing but positive feedback from anyone who took the plunge and purchased one of those rifles. While it seems a departure from Henry platform of lever actions. The folks shooting them sure do like them. Great addition to the family Cousin!

Tonight Our boy is coming over to replace some shingle damage we sustained in the last wind event, no tornado so thank ya Lord! In return he is going to go home with some safe queens. I have a penchant for Belgium Brownings and have given him several over the years. I am going to give him a couple more and a Mossberg pump I have had since I was a Boy, plus a little tube fed 22. He will trade me labor and a mess of catfish. Both parties win.

Plus, if he goes far enough south, he can use the .22 to shoot more catfish

Well there is just something deeply satisfying handing over fine firearms to the next generation of your family. As I watched our Son slowly and carefully sliding each rifle into a case, verifying they were MT with such a routine manner it was almost hard to catch, I was proud beyond words. He is already passing some down to his son as well. This is how we keep our heritage. Good day to be “Pops”

Well, they did it again.
On the way in from morning play session, collecting the balls to put em away, the ball I get from cudabug (Cuda) is completely destroyed, 1/3 to 1/2 of it missing.
Pour out the peroxide, AGAIN!
Poor Cudabug, takes his dose, pukes a couple times..... nothing.
He was basically doing nothing this session but laying in the shade and chewing the ship out of his ball. I was 99% sure he ate the pieces of ball (again!)
BUT: Magnum has been known to swallow ball chunks too (already made him puke up a chunk he wouldn't have passed a few weeks ago), so Magnum got a dose too (took me THREE tries to get enough in him)
Sure enough,, two more big chunks of ball come up immediately.
The GF, has had enough. Threw away about $75 worth of glow balls. She ordered some new that are known NOT to get eaten. $60 for three balls, but what are you gonna do, the dogs LIVE for the balls and play sessions.
L to r, Magnum and Hemi.
fr to bk: Hemi, Magnum, and Cuda.
