hey guys. i have not been on here in the last two months, but maybe 2 times.
as some of you know, i sell alot of stuff, no matter what i can get my hands on. anything! so, my last mopar was a red 340 auto duster with red/white interior. i bought it dirt cheap, thanks to badlilred. numbers matching, but needing a resto. ran and drove great after i put gas and tune up on it. well, another nmopar guy that lives near me fell in love with it, and wanted it from the moment he saw it. but, i did not want to sell.
during the next week, i went back to work for my landlord, and we were qworking on a house that he had bought last summer after it had basically burnt to the ground. he put new roof, windows, and all new floor joices, and outer studs up to the existing brick.
took us three weeks to get it gutted out.
so, my landlord and me were talking, and he said that he was thinking of selling the house, as he was having alot of problems getting anyone to do any of the rest of studding, sheetrock,,,,,...so on, so on,
so, i told him i would love to buy the property and house for 24k, which ios what he had into it.

two days later, he told me that if i give him a nice deposit, he'll sell it to me for 24k with him transferring deed to me, and a promisary note to pay him back!. i jumped on the thought, but had no cash!!!!!!!!!
i loved the red 340 duster, but i wanted so bad to give my wife and two kids a home of their own, and i love to horse-trade. period!
so, i went to the guy that wanted the car, he offered machenery for the bobcat, i took him up on it, got the machinery, and two days latewr sold it. march 20 something, we signed the deed, and began the two month rugged task of restoring a burned down house!(we had been working on house before deed was signed)

so, yesterday morning, the inspector made his final inspection, and we passed!. got our c/o for occupancy!. i moved us in yesterday, and all that we did not have enough money for was getting the a/c charged, and three bedroom doors. but own our own home.

yea, i had to give uop my nice garage i had just recently put up at rental house, but i got plans for a 24x24 in the near future, and found 3 mopars not 3 miles from me in the woods! one is a 340 73 duster, one is a 73 twister with the real short dual scoops, and third is a 70-71 dart /6 all for 900.00. lady just wants them gone for scrap price, but i have not a penny right now to buy them with.lol

ill post pics of house tommorow!

oh and i missed you guys!

so, to continue the story, the guy that bought the duster has big plans for it, and about a year ago, he bought a 2000 jeep grand cherokee from us, and just offered it to me as down payment to put quarters on the duster, and once my garage is up, he wants me to restore it to it's former glory for him!. thats great, cause i love to do the work. that is my passion. but once i get them done and drive it a few times, i lose intrest and want to move on to the next one................. so, stay tuned for another resto budget build!

yea!, my fahter in law did alot of the electrical, and we put in over 1000 running feet of 12/2 and 100 r/f of 12/3 wire!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome back, sounds like a exhausting last couple months! Now it's time to become resourceful in obtaining $900!!

did i tell you it also has a full basement, so now when i do dash and grille resto's, i can be in the warth in the winter!

Welcome back! And congrats on the new place! Also might want to go a little bigger on the garage (30x30 or 36x36 would be better, you find yourself filling it up and running out of space real quick on 24x24).

and this is why i get butt hurt when someone call me a no good flipper and bad to the mopar hobby............ is because i already said to myself.........."well, i got 36k into a house, that has now been re- assesed thorugh the county and insurance at over 170k.""""""""""""" damn, sell the house, buy another, redo it, and pick up a few more MOPARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so see, i do not do it to kill the mopar hobby, i do it cause i am addicterd to horse trading, and wheeling and dealing, and to move on to something different.lol

you NEED to pick these cars up. and how about some pics. i follow your work and you have done some great builds.

glad to hear you are doing well and got a place to call your own !

Joe,
You know the drill, pictures of the new place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wondered where you went. I thought maybe you caught the ban hammer or something because normally you were on fabo quite often. Glad to have you back Joe, always enjoy reading about your projects and i get a kick out of all the sweet mopars you pick up!. congrats on the house by the way!

yes, sold it, paid off all prior debts, bought another prject, reluctantly sold that too, but was for a good cause....... bought a house with the money!.

now need to get something for a garage up on my land, so i can restor another duster!

Welcome back plot congrats on the new place give me a call sometime and give me directions to your new place so i can pick up some more parts.

pictures of the pad!! Sounds like a working man's is doing what he can to provide for the family great job!! Lawrence

Geez plot, sounds like you've been enjoying some nice leisure time the last couple of months ;). Now that your holidays are over, hoping to see you get some stuff done.

Grant

Congrats on the new house. Good to see hard work paying off!!

I don't get what people's problem on here with what you do is. I mean, you buy cars, fix them up, and flip them. It means that more of these cars are on the road. How is that not good?

EXCELLENT!! Working man can't afford to pay rent. It all ends up in the landlords pocket and you end up with nothing compared to being a homeowner. You are now responsible for you own home, but you can do what you want and dont need to ask.

And at the end of it all,you have something with value.

Thats just awsome Plot. real happy for you. Hope all continues to go well. BTW.............I thought it was abnormally quiet around here..LOL.....Glad your back. love to see lots of pics:cheers:

here is some pics as of now. still alot of stuff to do. i just had a 8x16 shed taken out yesterday, to make room for the 24x24!
