hard starting when hot

ive got a 1973 plymouth valiant 318 auto with 2bbl carb. runs great but after you shut it off it doesnt want to crank. starts fine when cold. have replaced all ignition lowered float im stumped:sign10:

Narrow it down a little, your title says hard starting when hot and in your description you state it won't crank. Two totally different symptoms.

If it cranking but not starting it could be boiling this wonderful gas htey have these days

If it won't crank start with a load test on the battery

Check the timing. Too much timing makes it hard to start when hot.

temp related failure can be a loose connection at the battery, the coil, the ignition module, pick up coil in dist., You need to verify whats missing when it fails to start, spark or fuel. Good luck

sorry for the no reply couldnt get it to post. thanks for the inquiry but the problem is now bigger. lost a cam lobe
