Opinions please on aftermarket balancers. What do most use for a high performance small block stroker with an internal balance. Occasional strip use so SFI approved. Thanks all! Dan

I went with this one from Professional Products on my 408. They make them cheaper but I wouldn't risk it on a stroker.

There was a couple of threads on this subject earlier this week...

I'm using this Pioneer 872037 on my 408. They're reasonably priced and SFI rated.

Look around at the track if you want an idea on which is the weapon of choice for nearly any part.
That being said , I have ATI's on two of my motors and am more than happy.
One is as far from stock as you can get , so I went with the big Chev bolt pattern for pulleys.
This opened up my choices for crank trigger and pulleys tremendously.

X 2 on the Pioneer 872037. I've used them for years including the one on my current internally balanced 360 that's been going for over 4 seasons.

Shop around for best prices, but Summit has free shipping.

(Disregard the pic they use. That's not it. This is.)

Believe it or not I just found it on E-GAG for $30. less than Summit, and free shipping too.

That Pioneer looks an awful lot like the Powerbond balancer I have on my 540. It is supposed to be a good piece but because it is a lot thinner and closer to the block than a long snout ATI I have had troubles getting pulleys to align and also it hits the case front cover. I suggest getting an ATI balancer and know that customer support is just a call away as they are here in deadly Baltimore and answer their phone.
