how can I torque this bolt down; with out removing oil pan; and what is proper torque for this bolt??? thanks franko60

For starters...........what engine, in the car, out of the car?

Engine in the car, remove dust shield off tranny, or remove starter, stick a screw driver, pry bar, what ever works to wedge ring gear so it won't turn as you tighten bolt.

Engine out of car on stand, use 2 flex plate/ flywheel bolts in crank hub so that you can stick a heavy duty long screw driver / pry bar in between so it will lock up against engine stand as you tighten bolt.

Small block bolt torque, 135-140 ftlb.
