Has anybody bought a windshield for a 69 Valiant 4 door car lately. if so where did you get it. I started to install the front windshield today and in looking at it closely, I think I would rather get a new one. I noticed some wiper tracks on it and it is starting to go milky a little on the bottom. I have no luck on the internet but I have 2 glass shops working on it. If someone has bought one lately, or know where I can get one, I will check on it and have it shipped here or to the glass shop. I would love to get this in before next weekend as we are planning to shoot color on the car. Thanks,Bill

I got the last one that my supplier could find. It was tucked deep into some old ware house. Took almost 2 months to come up with it. MAYBE there is another one somewhere?
I believe there was a restoration company in Florida that had some I found when looking but they were pricey. Good luck!

DW691 is what you need. They are $$$. I bought one of a FABO member. You might want to post a wanted thread. 2 dr post and 4 dr sedan Valiant and Dart are the only windshields that fit. Your windshield is about 1 1/2" taller than a hardtop.

just purchased a tinted windshield for the Valiant. A DW691 out in California. I found it cheap $401.00 shipped to me. My glass man told me it would cost me $900.00 if he bought it.

Find another glass man.
My local one only want $250 to replace and about an extra $100 if he cant use the gasket.
For about any car unless is has crazy curves which a A body does not have.
It is cheaper to pay a shop around here than to do it your self.
Yes I know how to install glass.

well I bought the glass at $401 shipped to me and the same glass company that wanted $900 to buy the glass for me is charging me $150.00 to install both front and back glass when the windshield arrives. The cheapest glass co. around here quoted me $700 for the windshield and $150 each to install the front and back glass. Prices are all over the place. so I picked the cheapest windshield and the cheapest people to install them. I have been doing business with this one co. for over 30 years and they are the best.

Our two local glass co wanted $800+ said they would have to get it from a restoration specialist... I got a new one off ebay. Windshield, seal, and install came to less than $500. The glass has one line of distortion but not too bad for the price.

front and back glass was installed this morning. got the side glass cleaned on this side.

I can't figure the windshield games they play. I called several glass installers that advertise all over. None of them could get a windshield for my '64 Valiant. Thinking I'd hit a dead end, I stopped at a little local mom and pop company that didn't even have a yellow pages ad. He made a call to his supplier and they had one delivered the next day.
I told him about trying all the chain stores, and he just laughed and said that they don't have it in their computer, so they won't take time trying to locate older stuff. Oh, yeah....$150 and my painter installed it after he finished painting.

Looks great not to rub it in but I paid $370 for mine from classic shipped to Indiana

well after I bought this one Ryan from Pilkington in Columbus emailed me and told me that he received 2 of them from a back order and they were $300.00 each. I would have driven and picked it up but I had already paid for the one in Ca. I am just glad the rear glass was ok and didn't get broken in the swap. I only found one of those and it was used for $655 plus ride.
