I've looked pretty hard at doing it on my '64 but am concerned about two aspects. 1. I don't want to section or toss the rear seat and 2. I'm a little concerned about adverse effects on handling with the springs relocated as the current plan is to have reasonably fat tires on all four and have it be able to corner. Only reason I could think to do it is for looks as there are some
yes i agree! i am makn this a drag car without choppin it up! i want to go with a ten inch rim(which with the bulge of the e/t slick is 12") and it is around 12" from frame to wheelwell.and yes for looks! I like the rear low look! the seats need reapolstered anyway i was just going to leave it out and building lid that lifts up to store stuff but make look like the rear seat is down! deal with seat later when i have more money! i dont think moving the springs are going to mess with handling(especially with firmer springs) and not so much deep dish on rim! with the sheilds and glued on carpet it should be easy to make look RIGHT! My concern is where to cut! only if u own one would you understand what i mean. it gets a little goofy back thaer where the rear window comes down!
