I only hope that, since the ad said it came from a 'collector' that they had plenty of identification on the car showing it is there, this car isn't exactly one that can be sold 'discreetly'...

I would imagine that it would be tucked away in storage this time of year. Maybe some members in that area can get in touch with storage units/facilities!! Poor guy was probably so stressed about his car, causing his death.
