Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice from fellow Mopar enthusiasts. I’m currently working on my Chrysler with the factory 273 engine, but I’m having a tough time finding the right motor mounts to fit.

Here’s the situation: I don’t have an original set of mounts, so I’ve purchased two different mount kits, but neither of them fit properly. I’m starting to wonder if I’m either fitting them to the engine incorrectly or if I might be getting the wrong mounts altogether.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Are there specific mounts that are known to work with the 273? I want to make sure I’m looking in the right direction. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

We'll help you figure out what you need and then you can place Parts Wanted ad for your needs. The rubber mounts are available aftermarket. The brackets are harder to come by. Note: it makes me a little nervous when I see "Chrysler" and 273 in the same sentence.

thankyou, i just need the brackets for a 273 1967 barracuda. i didn’t know the year would matter, witch was probably my problem all along.

Again, what model? An Imperial will be different from a Valiant... etc.
Edit: okay, nevermind- we posted at the same time. '67 barracuda.

Then you need the engine brackets for a 67 Barracuda with a 273. Place a want ad and you will probablt have the correct ones located by noon.

Then you need the engine brackets for a 67 Dart or Barracuda with a 273. Place a want ad and you will probablt have the correct ones located by noon. Oops, you didn't mention what brand and model
someone messaged me privately so hopefully we can work something out

I just deleted 2 scammer accounts on B Bodies that offered parts behind the scenes for sale.

A picture of the brackets in question that you have would go a long way to getting some help.

Here is a thread about the right side mounts.
1967 only SB right side engine mount bracket vs 68-72

Question: Is this an original 273 car?

Correctly installed it mounts to the rear of the flange.

Here in lies the "crystal ball" thing. Unfortunately we are not able to see what you are working on from our houses. The more information and pictures you post, the better the members can help.

Here are photos of the 273 engine mounts for a 1967 Barracuda. First, the passenger side from when I pulled the engine:

Next, the driver side before I reinstalled the engine:
