If you are having issues posting photos let's chat about it here. @cpearce sent me a pm and he is having issues. @mbaird as well. Resizing the photos smaller and clearing cookies usually helps. Let's see if we can fix this. Thanks

FYI maximum photo size is 5.2 mb.

I have done both, I've cleared cache and cookies several times, also resized photos. I had no problem until a few nights ago.

Strangely enough, I just tried again on one of my posts and it worked. I resized to 40% this time and it worked. The odd part is, I've never had to do so in the past.

Strange but now it works. That's good.

Next time I get the error message I will screen shot it . I tried to duplicate it this morning but now it works of course ! Lol

No need, the error isnt new. Its due to the size of the photos. Phones keep making bigger and bigger photos. They need to be resized.

I always resize mine to about 800 pixels in largest dimension, sometimes cheat closer to 900p Never had a problem.

I have been posting with the same phone for the last year . The issue started about 3 months ago. Maybe something changed in my camera settings in an update ?

Interestingly, I did just try to link a pic from FBBO.

I got the image error icon instead of the linked pic

I uploaded that pic to FBBO earlier today.

What was the exact link you used? Would you mind pasting it here so I can see what the issue is?

I sometimes get a security warning and it won't let me post like one out of several. All the same size from my phone. It takes all but one usually.

I know you guys dont get this part. But photos of the same dimensional size are not always the same size in computer terms. Take 2 photos, both 800x600. One can be 12mb and the other 50k. Kind of like a piece of plastic and a piece of steel may be the same dimensions but weigh different.

Once I get the software upgraded to the latest version, I'll be able to increase the sizes of photos that can be updated.

No, I do get it. I was just adding to the conversation.

OK that makes sense.
You need to load photos directly to the sites from the photo files in your phone or computer through the "upload photos" module below.

Just trying to save server space :)

No sense uploading the same pic to Joey's server's twice was my rationale.

I'm glad this came up. I fantastically figured out how to change the resolution on my phone camera. I went from 5mb to 2mb. That should make a difference. lol

Good thought but if the software doesn't work that way it won't work for you. Probably one of the reasons why there is a size limit on photos. We just need reproductions not images shot raw so we can blow them up poster size.
