Do you need a special headed asker or can you use the standard one that felpro offer?

I rebuilt my engine from the bottom up and bought an entire rebuked kit that came with oversized pistons and I assume head gasket as well but I'm having issues with the mill work that was done on the head son I'm having to remove it and take it in to be fixed and wanted to double check.

Thanks!!!

Engine size would help.I believe a small block head gasket is 4.10 which is a 340 bored .060 over so it should be good.Some one else can chime in on the small block gasket and what the big block gaskets measure.

Its a 225, forgot to mention that.

the last one I bought just covered the bore on a stock 225 I would have been in trouble if it has been bored ,the fire ring was at the edge of cylinder a victor gasket I believe .

Excellent question. I have an engine that's previously been bored .30 over. I'm going to rebuild it eventually and would like to know the same thing. Is such a thing made, or do you have to have one built at a machine shop?

Most slant six head gaskets have a 3.500 bore. So this is not usually a problem. Sometime there is a problem, on the combustion chamber valve "relief", but usually not. Just lay the gasket on the block dowl pins, and check for alignment, then do the same on the head. I am told there is a Aussie made "permaseal" gasket that has a bore of 3.6xx.

FelPro 7918PT1 = 3.520 Inch bore.

std bore = 3.400 in
.030 = 3.430 in
.060 = 3.460 in

So you are good to go with room to spare.

Excellent!! Thanks everyone for that responses!!!

If you give me a few days I have a big bore gasket that the slant racers back east did a group buy. I can get you the part# and bore size. I just gotta remember where the heck it is.

I also was told by Russ of Indy Cylinder Heads that Cometic can make just about anything you want. Worth a call to Cometic.....Just a thought.

The key word is "CAN", not "WILL".
Maybe things are different, now. I spoke to Cometic at the PRI show about three or four years ago. They would only do a slant six gasket if they got enough "upfront" money and orders to make it financially feasable. I don't remember the dollar amount, but it was over $2,000.

FYI thats not just cuz "its a slant" either... we had a guy with a KB V12 boat motor (BBC based) and it has 4 3cylinder heads. i think he was looking at over 3K for a set of gaskets.

I did Clark Copper head gaskets for my 104 overbore on my slant.

So it took awhile but I found it. It's a Aussie company,Endurotec Gaskets.#GSAP210E
The bore size is 3.65625 and is .060 thick before torque crush.Don't know anything else about them,just puttin' it out there.Never used it but some of the guys over on slantsix.org have.
