In the process of checking torque on my headers a stud on the passenger side head broke.

I drilled through it fine, but could not get it to budge with an easy out. Not wanting to risk breaking an easy out, or making it worse, I pulled the head so the machine shop can drill it out for me.

When I put the head back on, besides replacing the gaskets and cleaning it up, adjusting the valves. Do I need to do anything specific? I'm concerned about the coolant in the bolt hoes in the block where the head goes. I drained the radiator, but the level seemed to remain the same in the block.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you sure it's a bolt hole and not coolant passage. If you got coolant in a bolt hole just blow it out with compressed air or brake clean . I'm order to drain block of coolant you need to remove the little plug on side of block i think there's one on each side . Draining radiator will not drop coolant from block only radiator
