Has anyone used Summit Racing SUM-G9141 headers ? says they fit 67-69 barracuda (a-body) with 383 'b' motor. 1 3/4" primary, 3" collector at $324.95. Too good to be true ?
Also, do Hooker Headers 5320HKR fit without cutting. Heard Shumackers are restrictive ? for over 500hp. how restrictive are 1 3/4" ?
I for a 67' barracuda, 440 727, bb k-member with spool mounts and power steering.

The Pro Parts headers from Bob Mazzolini Racing are supposed to work well and I believe they come in a bunch of different primary sizes. They are for an RB engine in an A body. I have a set of 2"-2 1/8" stepped, but I'm running a B based stroker. They do require some cutting to the inner fender, but only 2 tubes go through on 1 side and 1 on the other. They're not cheap and they don't come and are not available coated, but from what I've seen they're probably one of the better options. Here's a couple of pics of them mocked up on my engine.

I don't have a ton of BB A-body experience, but the last one I did was a '67 Dart with a 440. I used the TTI 2" primary tube headers to a 3-1/2" exhaust. I was very pleased with the fit of the headers. I have the same headers for use on my '67 Barracuda. Good luck.

will never use Pro Part headers.
Why buy something you have to fix before you install it.
3 diff cars for diff power levels.

This is are learner car and the funnest one we have.
It seems like everyone drives it.
I use to have a 73 dart with C-body manifolds the worked for a 13 sec ride.
Well here are my 4 choices for headers for non chassis cars.

Love the nine second Dart. It's a beast.

The TTI's are a great choice...just watch and read thier foot note...I believe no power steering a some instances no power brake booster and no column shift...I went the Schumacher way and if mine makes 500 hp then they are working for me...

That Summit part number is for B body applications. There's no mention of them fitting the A body on the Summit site....but they are on sale right now.
