I'm not sure if anyone has run into this problem, but we noticed that the headers are a very tight fit, even with the mini starter recommended by TTI. My concern is heat. Based on the picture below, do you think the starter, especially the rubber and plastic pieces will melt from the exhaust heat? If so, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can shield the starter?

Thanks as always for your assistance.

I've never run into any mini starter issues with my tti's on both my dusters, and if needed i could change the starter in no time at all, thats the beauty of tti's...

they sell the starter blankets or what I did was just use header wrap around the starter. mine is just as close and I have been running it over a year now with no problems. it doesn't look like it would melt anything on yours but the restart after driving a while might suck without it, major starter heat soak.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was just concerned because the rubber cover is less than one inch away from the pipe.
