Headliner conversion?

Has any one taken a 1973 or later scamp/swinger and convert the cardboard headliner to the bow style? The new abs ones look good but expensive and shipping is ridiculous! Mabee even a home made hard board headliner with gluued on vinyl? My headliner is in tact but warped and peeling badly. Something needs to be done.

I saw the headliners at stockinteriors.com they were the cheapest there I think

my board is in pretty good shape aside from being green i think im just going to spray paint it black inside the car sounds like a good idea to me?

why not get some headliner material and some spray mount, and mount it to the carboard liner? Looks nice, insulates for sound and temp...just an idea

I'd be interested in this as well, as my cardboard liner is junk, and I wanted to go with the bow style.
