is it possible to convert a 72 + one piece cardboard headliner to the older bow type?

I have a 72 demon and the headliner is trashed, so I was thinking to convert it to the bow type to save shipping cost and overall cost of the one piece liner.

has anyone ever done this conversion ??

as long as you use one from a duster style body. The rear sail panels require a special tab or hole to secure them.

I converted my 72 swinger to a bow type. Like Sedanman stated use the correct bows. I didn't use the sail panels because the headliner had the material to go all the way down or I didn't know what I was doing. The other thing I found out was when I removed the board headliner. The car had the teeth for the headliner and the holes for the bows so, it was an easy fit.

Did you by chance notice the thread I have making a hard headliner ?
