Anyone use MMPG's heads on there builds?????? Looking at the eagles for my next 5.7 build--Steve

Yea-looking at both Inertia & Modern Performance--Thanks

I have talked with Chris about getting mine CNC'd. I have also talked with Andy at PWR about them, and he gave them a thumbs up to. Only problem I have is the I have 2 left side heads currently. That will get rectified next.

I'm going with Modern Muscle for the 426 if I can get the cash together to build it. Just my 2c

I have personally dealt with both andy @ pwr and stu @ inerta both are top notch builders I would highly recommend them to anyone stu built my 5.7 big valve heads & cam. Andy was going to re build mine 2nd time around went above and beyond with help knowledge and tech info wish I only spent some money with him. I called mmp totally got blown off poor customer service guess my $$$ was not good enough piss poor customer service imho....If its that hard to spend 10k on motor and another 8k on blower 2k on fuel and another 6k on trans 6k on rear axle. I wonder what it would be like if I had a problem?????

Not understanding the big $$$$$ on core charges,Called Inertia twice but no call back,Now that get's irritating I don't care what business your in,When a customer calls interested in your product you call back--Also had to call Modern 3 times to get flow numbers that should be listed along side the heads,Flow numbers should NOT be some secret thing on heads you sell on ebay,Also Modern is on ebay and DOES NOT list the core charges and I wonder how many people push the buy now button to find out its another $1000-$1500 for core charges--Steve

This kind of stuff just rubs me the wrong way,I work hard and save for my money to do this stuff and these company's are use to people walking in and telling them oh ok put that $8,000 blower on and oh by the way put those $4000 heads on ,I'll just put it on the card--I don't have that $$$$$$$,--Ok rant over it just pisses me off--Steve

Core Charges are what it cost us to replace the heads that customers never send back in. Call Chrysler and complain we do not set the prices on heads they do. As for flow numbers not really that important to advertise, Flow numbers are like Dyno;s just a tool, The track is where it shows the real gains. Out of the 100s of CNC heads we do every year I may get like 5 requests for Flow numbers, As for Ebay it clearly say's that cores are not included it also adds the core charge when you start the check out procedure So I really dont know what you are talking about on that one, And for your last issue as soon as you sent me a PM I replied in a timely matter I have no other record of you trying to contact us.

Also the phone is still the best way to get the fastest response from any Company IMO.

didn't want to start something here MM-JUST STATING THE FACTS,YOU responded about someone else's problem on this thread see post#8 and also check the links you have on YOUR website, that's where I emailed you 3 times about flow numbers that don't mean anything--you should be thankful someone points that out to you GEEZ.last set of heads I had done at INDY,I simply called them and they brought a set to a swap meet with NO money down,I paid for them and yes we went thru them like everyone should with ANY vender. It was VERY simple. So since flow numbers don't mean anything to START a build and PLAN should we just use factory numbers????? You should be proud of your flow numbers and what set's you apart for other vendor's that do cnc work on heads,Trying to decide if I really need to step up and go "eagle" or go with big valve 08 heads-So can you tell me how to make a decision on that one with out flow numbers?????? I look forward to your response--Steve

MM--when you respond this time could you do us all a favor and let us know who is responding from your company?????? A name???? Like this----Steve

72bb---I need 5.7 heads,That's the block I have--Steve--those are a good price thou !! Thanks For your help--STEVE

Pretty sure a 2.10 intake valve will clear a 5.7 bore just fine. 6.1 and Eagle heads are almost identical except for factory valve sizes, Eagles use a 2.05 and 6.1's use a 2.08.

I thought the head bolt pattern was different??? Thanks Steve

Push rods and custom gaskets should be used to maintain compression ratio other then that any gen 3 5.7 or 6.1 head will work.

My point I was trying to make about flow numbers is that they are very easily faked
we have seen many compaines do this in the past you may not hear about over here much but on the other modern Hemi forums some of the other crap companies put out there is just crazy, like stage 1 stage 2 heads ect. It just a marking gimmick, If a set of heads are on A CNC why not just complete them to the max and be done with it. Just go with a company that you feel has a good price and proven performance with their builds and you will be fine.

Dont your 6.1 heads flow in the 360's at .600 Chris? Is that with the stock valve size?

LOL--so is this Chris???????????????? or Dave????????????????? Thanks Will call for more info--Steve
